Hi!
Life can be complicated, we all have ups and downs but sometimes the hard moments become a struggle and difficult to ignore. You may be feeling overwhelmed by difficult emotions, past experiences, relationship issues or life transitions - counselling can help. I can provide a safe and non-judgemental space to explore and make sense of your thoughts and feelings without any fear of judgement.
About me and my practice
How I work -
As a person-centred counsellor, I provide a supportive and empathic space for you to express yourself freely and gain a deeper self-awareness. Therapy is a collaborative relationship, I work alongside my clients so that, together, we can identify challenges, gain insight and work towards an improved sense of well-being.
There are times in our lives when we may feel stuck - you may be experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma or other challenges, I will work with you to identify your goals. Together we can work towards reaching some understanding, acceptance and perspective to help you move forwards.
I work with adults and young people, offering short-term work for those wanting to focus on a particular area or issue and also long-term work where we can develop a more in-depth exploration into specific areas of your life or patterns.
I have experience working with many issues and struggles - however, you don't need to be in distress to benefit from counselling. You may "not feel yourself", be unsure of your identity or need someone independent to really hear what's going on for you right now. You may just be looking to engage in a bit of self-exploration - my role as a therapist is to support you in understanding yourself and your emotions with greater compassion, so that you can make positive changes for your future
Alongside my private practice, I work with the NHS Youth Counselling Service supporting young people who are struggling with issues such as low self-esteem, anxiety, ADHD, depression, identity, self-harm and suicidal ideation.
Research has shown that working online has as much benefit as working face to face, online therapy offers flexbility and safety for those that do not want to venture out.
I welcome you to get in touch and have a chat.
